Sanur
If you are in ubud and need time to relax we can recommend to take a day and enjoy the beach and relaxed atmosphere in Sanur. By scooter it takes round about 45 minutes to get there.
Sanur is a village near by Denpasar on the east coast off Bali. Sanur has a really nice beach with clear water and fisher boots. While relaxing on the beach you can watch the fisherman. It is a nice and quiet beach where you can lay down or take a coffee in one of the restaurants or eat fresh fish..
If you like you can also do a lot of activities like kite surfing, banana boot or snorkeling etc. In Sanur you can find a kot of accommodations and if you like it more cheap you can go in the hostel called "pineapple-hostel". Here you will find some shops for clothes and Souvenirs. In the night you can sit in the warungs for a beer or wine and listening to live-music.
As you can see, Sanur is a place for young and old.
